Contemporary fabrics are designed to respond to the freshness of brands and to the intrinsic nature of fashion itself: to introduce something new, something that does not yet exist, something created to inspire both the eye and the spirit.
Developed to quickly react to evolving trends, they are characterised by an ever-changing aesthetic language. Patterns
Within the Art Fabric Hub, textile patterns in contemporary fabrics become one of the main areas of creative experimentation. Classic designs are reinterpreted through a non-conventional approach: pinstripes evolve through variations in width, colour combinations and the use of different yarns; tartan is refreshed with lurex inserts, shading effects and unexpected pairings; Prince of Wales patterns are reimagined through contrasting tones and unconventional colour palettes.
The result is a constantly evolving offer, where each season introduces new structures and new patterns designed to fuel brand creativity and respond coherently to the speed and experimental nature of contemporary fashion.
Stripes move away from the traditional interpretation of pinstripes to become a dynamic and contemporary design element. Tartan is reinterpreted in a contemporary key through the introduction of lurex yarns, innovative colour combinations and shaded effects that transform its traditional aesthetic. Classic grid structures evolve into more fluid and dynamic constructions, where light and colour interact to create modern surfaces. The result is a modern tartan that retains a connection to its heritage while incorporating an updated visual language.
Prince of Wales patterns are reinterpreted in a contemporary key through the introduction of lurex yarns and unconventional colour combinations that profoundly renew their aesthetic. The classic design is opened up to bold contrasts and plays of light that enhance its visual depth.

Jacquard is one of the most advanced expressions of textile design, where pattern and structure coincide to create rich, three-dimensional and highly distinctive surfaces. Through controlled yarn interlacing, it is possible to develop complex motifs with plays of light and depth that enhance the fabric without the need for printing. We reinterpret this fabric using innovative yarns, lurex inserts and new material combinations. Jacquard becomes a versatile design tool for creating sophisticated textures, suitable for garments with a strong stylistic identity.
English rib is a textile structure that gives the fabric a three-dimensional appearance thanks to an alternation of stitches that create small spaces and subtle transparency effects. This construction produces lightweight yet structured surfaces, capable of adding movement and depth to the garment. In contemporary fabrics, English rib is reinterpreted through the use of innovative yarns and new material combinations.
Seersucker is a textile structure characterised by a crinkled, three-dimensional effect achieved through differential yarn tensions that create an alternation of smooth and puckered stripes. This construction gives the fabric lightness, breathability and a naturally dynamic appearance, while also reducing the need for ironing. In contemporary fabrics, seersucker is reinterpreted through innovative yarns, variations in scale and refined colour combinations, evolving into an expressive and non-conventional surface ideal for garments with a distinctive and modern character.
